"Innovation is the specific instrument of entrepreneurship." - Peter Drucker

There is a reason we talk about innovation so often here on the PayAnywhere Blog - it's because it's an absolutely imperative function of any successful business. At last year's Dreamforce Summit in San Francisco, Google's chief social guru Gopi Kallayil shared with the audience what he called the nine core principles of innovation. Now, courtesy of Yahoo Small Business, we share them with you here:

.) Innovation comes from anywhere.

.) Focus on the user.

.) Bet on technical insights.

.) Ship and iterate.

.) Give employees 20 percent time.

.) Default to open processes.

.) Fail well.

.) Have a mission that matters.
