Discounts

To add an Express Discount, tap the Discount icon at the bottom of the screen (depending on what device you are using) and add the discount amount. Express Discounts apply to all items in the cart.

To add an item-level discount, tap an item from the cart to apply a discount.  

Tips

Make sure you have Tips enabled under Settings → Signatures & Tips.

• On the tip screen, your customer can select from one of the preset values or enter a custom amount.

Signature & Tip Settings

• You have the option to combine the tip and signature screens or keep them separate. You can adjust this option by heading to Settings → Enable Tips → Combine Tip & Signature Screens. 
• Payanywhere Smart Solutions (PAX E-Series only): The default tip setting for these devices are collect tip before payment. When using this setting, Combine Tip & Signature Screens cannot be enabled.
  • This means the app will prompt for a tip on the customer-facing screen after a payment method is selected. The payment screen will appear after a tip is entered or skipped.
• Sign & Tip on Printed Receipt: Customers sign and tip on a printed receipt. This option will print out a merchant and customer copy of the receipt. If this is setting is enabled, the Signature screen will not display. 
  • When using this setting, under Receipt Settings, you can choose to always print a customer copy, be prompted to choose if you want to print a customer copy on each transaction, or do not print a customer copy.
