You can quickly and easily send a customer an invoice from the Payanywhere app. Invoices are considered keyed transactions.
To send an invoice, begin by logging into the Payanywhere app and adding items to your cart (must be in Retail theme).
- View your cart and Proceed To Checkout.
- From the Checkout screen, select Send as Invoice.
- Enter Invoice and Customer information and choose a Due Date.
- Enter an email address to send the invoice via email or a phone number to send the invoice via SMS text. You can choose to use both, but at least one is required.
- If this is a recurring invoice, enable Create Recurring Series and choose the start date, end date, and when it should repeat.
- Customers have the option to enable auto pay for recurring invoices.
- Tap Send to send the invoice to your customer.
Your customer will receive the invoice via email or SMS text.
- They can click the link provided to submit a payment.
- The link takes the customer to a secure payments page where they can enter their card information.
- If you have tips enabled, the option to Allow Customer to Add Tip is available for each individual invoice. For recurring invoices set on autopay, the tip will only apply to the first payment. Recurring invoices that are not set on autopay will allow the customer to add a tip each time they submit a payment for their recurring invoice.
- AVS Mismatch Alert: On invoice payments, your customer will be allowed three attempts to correct their AVS or use another payment method, otherwise the transaction will decline. You can turn off this setting, but you will be responsible for any declined transactions or chargebacks.
- (Note: Link is valid for 90 days.)
- After the customer submits their payment, they will receive a receipt.
- When applicable, your customers also have the option to pay their invoice with Apple Pay by clicking the Check out with Apple Pay button on the payments page.
You can manage your invoices in Payments Hub.
