Accepting payments with the Smart PINPad Pro.
Terminal theme:
- Enter an amount using the keypad on the A80. The customer will see the total transaction amount on the SP30.
- Cash discount and tax are included in the transaction amount, if applicable.
- The customer will use the SP30 to insert, tap, or swipe their card.
- For EMV chip card payments, the customer should leave their card in the terminal until they hear or see a prompt to remove the card.
- Use the A80 if you need to accept a cash payment, manually key in card information, or initiate a Debit payment.
- For PIN Debit transactions, select the Debit payment option. The customer will then insert or swipe their card and be prompted to enter their pin using the SP30 PIN pad.
- For EBT transactions, select EBT, pick Food or Cash Benefit, and follow the same steps to complete the transaction.
- If applicable, tips and signatures are collected either on a paper receipt or on-screen via the A80.
- If the customer would like a receipt, use the A80 to select the customer’s desired receipt option. For email or text receipts, use the digital keyboard to enter the customers contact information.
Retail theme:
- Use the A80 to add items to the cart.
- Cash discount and tax are included in the transaction amount, if applicable.
- The customer will see the total transaction amount on the SP30 and can insert, tap, or swipe their card when ready.
- For EMV chip card payments, the customer should leave their card in the terminal until they hear or see a prompt to remove the card.
- Tap Proceed to Checkout to select another payment method from the checkout screen, if necessary.
- If Tickets are enabled, you will need to tap Charge before proceeding with the transaction.
- For PIN Debit transactions, select the Debit payment option. The customer will then insert or swipe their card and be prompted to enter their pin using the SP30 PIN pad.
- For EBT transactions, select EBT, pick Food or Cash Benefit, and follow the same steps to complete the transaction.
