North American Bancard Brings Alipay to Main Street Merchants

Payments technology leader helps businesses capitalize on growing U.S. tourism spending

By the end of 2017, Alipay acceptance will be rolled out to all of NAB’s semi-integrated MICROS terminals, along with their entire Ingenico terminal merchant base.

North American Bancard’s Kirk Haggarty Named CFO of the Year by Crain’s Detroit Business

TROY, Mich., May 27, 2015 

North American Bancard (NAB), an industry leader in credit card processing, merchant services and provider of the PayAnywhere Storefront and Mobile point-of-sale solutions, announced that Kirk Haggarty has won the Crain’s Detroit Business CFO of the Year Award for private companies worth over $100 million. The CFO of the Year awards recognize the outstanding achievements of CFO’s in publically- and privately-held companies of all sizes. The winners were announced May 24, 2015, and will be celebrated at an awards event on July 23, 2015, at The Henry in Dearborn.

Leading a deal in 2014 that enabled NAB to buy a large rival out of bankruptcy and putting together a debt facility of $225 million that led to cash flow savings of more than $10 million a year are among Haggarty’s most recent achievements. NAB made three acquisitions last year, one of which Haggarty calls “transformational” – the purchase of credit card processor Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX). 

Guided by Haggarty’s leadership, NAB was able to buy the $18 billion processor of credit and debit cards out of bankruptcy for $50 million, boosting its credit card volume to around $34 billion. This has enabled NAB to serve larger customers and keep more business in-house, providing better margins.

The two additional acquisitions included Sunnyvale, California-based Argus Payments Inc., an online payment processor, in November 2013, and the December, 2014 purchase of Miami-based Rapid Capital Funding Inc., which provides cash advances to merchants.

He was also a managing partner at Grosse Pointe, Michigan-based investment banking firm Donnelly Penman & Partners and vice president of investment banking at Raymond James Financial, Inc.

PayAnywhere Announces New App Features Aimed At Helping Small Businesses

PayAnywhere app updates include new features to manage inventory and speed up sales.

PayAnywhere is proud to introduce PayAnywhere 3.0 for iPad and PayAnywhere Storefront 3.2. New updates to the popular payment processing apps are now available in Apple’s app store (iTunes) or on your PayAnywhere Storefront device. Check Out the New and Improved PayAnywhere App for iOS

Do you use PayAnywhere on an iPad? If so, you’ll want to check out the latest update in the app store - we’ve enhanced the PayAnywhere cart and reporting to make it faster than ever for you to sell items and easier than ever to keep track of what you’ve sold. PayAnywhere iOS 2.0.6 also includes UI support for iOS 7 and general bug fixes for all iOS devices running iOS 6 and above.

Reports

You’ll notice a new-and-improved look in the Reports section – a new sales trend screen will allow you to quickly analyze your sales, while a permanent reports menu on the left side of your screen will provide easy access to your reports.

Here’s what you can do with the Sales Trend screen:

  •  View average sales for the week, month, or year, depending on the dates you select.
  •  Compare your sales from week-to-week, or whatever period of time you choose.
  •  Find out what your top categories and top items are displayed either by dollar amount or transaction volume.
  •  See if your customers prefer to pay with cash or credit, including what card brand.

Reports will allow you to make well-informed decisions, on the go, to improve your profits.

Sell 

We’ve heard your feedback, and have given the Sell screens a cleaner look that better illustrates items added to the cart and the total amount. The total amount is now displayed on the green checkout button, and hitting “Details & Discounts” will pull down so that you can add discounts or make changes as needed. These changes may look minor, but they’ll help you achieve a faster checkout experience.

PayAnywhere APIs Now Available for Android Developers.

Complementing PayAnywhere’s SDKs for iOS, the new Android SDKs – Basic and Advanced – allow developers to easily embed credit card point of sale functionality into apps that can run on any Android device, making it possible for those apps to accept and process Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit card purchases.

Once enabled by PayAnywhere APIs, mobile apps can accept swiped credit card transactions using PayAnywhere’s award-winning credit card reader and payment processing service for smartphones and tablets, or accept keyed-in, “card not present” transactions. Swiped credit card transactions made using apps that incorporate PayAnywhere APIs are assessed only a 2.69 percent transaction fee, with no other fees applied.

In addition to credit card processing, the PayAnywhere SDKs make available to developers a host of features that allow the merchant to capture signatures, attach invoice numbers to transactions, print receipts or send them to customers via email, keep a record of transactions, view detailed transaction reports and more. Pay Anywhere Donates Tablets to Every Student at Local School to Advance Academic Achievement

Pay Anywhere Adds Revolutionary New Features with Version 1.5

Pay Anywhere, the leading no-compromise mobile payments solution, today released an upgrade to its iOS app. Apple users can upgrade to version 1.5 of Pay Anywhere to start taking advantage of a multitude of new features, including:
