With the strictest adherence to Payment Card Industry (or PCI) security standards and best practices, PayAnywhere is committed to not only safeguarding our customers' data, but also the information of our customers' customers too. Our company and its employees place trust and integrity as among the highest attributes we can offer our customers. After all, your livelihood, as well as that of your business, depends on it! Our mobile credit card processing and point of sale service is engineered to meet or exceed PCI compliance standards, utilizing end-to-end encryption, whether you swipe or key-in a payment card using our credit card processing mobile app and reader.

Our new users sometimes question why you are prompted to enter private information such as home address and Social Security number. PayAnywhere is required by both federal law and payment industry regulations to obtain this information to verify each merchant's identity and for the proper reporting of payments made for tax purposes. Incorporated businesses and some partnerships cannot use a Social Security number and must instead use their Federal Tax Identification Number (also known as an Employer Identification Number or EIN).

Legally, we cannot establish new accounts unless we have this information from our new merchants. Once we have a customer’s Social Security number or EIN, it is securely encrypted and stored only being used when the law requires us to do so.
